I am a research intern in the lab of Barbara Treutlein at ETH Zürich, where I work on projects exploring the interplay between regeneration and developmental biology. I hold completed master’s degrees in Neuroscience and Behavioral, Neural and Cognitive Biology from the University of Vienna, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Biology - Anthropology.
My research experience spans developmental biology, regenerative biology, and neuroscience. I have carried out laboratory-based master’s thesis and project work at several institutions, including ETH Zürich (Treutlein Lab), Harvard University (Whited Lab), IST Austria (Kicheva Lab), Medical University Vienna (Dodt Lab) and the Technical University of Vienna (Dodt Lab). My work has focused on axolotl regeneration, stem cells, morphogen signaling during tissue growth, and neural tissue organization. Experimentally, I have worked with in vitro and in vivo model systems, tissue clearing, light-sheet microscopy, molecular and neuroscience techniques, and quantitative analysis of complex biological datasets.
My research has been supported by several competitive awards and scholarships, including the Marshall-Plan-Scholarship, the Erasmus-Scholarship, award-for-academic-achievements, the Dr.-Franz-Josef-Mayer-Gunthof-Stiftung stipend and a merit-award for excellent grades (1.05).
